Usually, you will feel withdrawal symptoms when you stay away from smoking for up to 24 or 48 hours. However, I have found that by doing something that is very engaging, I never get them. This is one helpful trick you can use in quitting smoking: do something that takes your mind away from the thing, and you might not be able to bring your mind back to it for a very long time, if not forever.
